Welcome to BookBird, a fictional book subscription box where a love for reading meets a commitment to sustainability. BookBird reuses books, giving them a second chance at life and readers a chance to read more without buying more. At BookBird, we believe that every book has a story beyond its pages – a story that begins with its creation and continues through the hands of countless readers. Our mission is to foster a more sustainable reading culture by providing a platform for book lovers to enjoy their favorite stories without contributing to the overconsumption and waste of physical books.

BookBird aims to be creative, approachable, and motivating to a younger generation of readers. Therefore, when creating the bird itself, it had to embody the spirit of the brand as well as establish the brand’s visual identity. The logotype, Peckham Press, inspired the relief print texture in the bird that carried throughout the rest of the brand illustrations. The handmade texture of illustrations paired with the bright colors and fun type system creates a bold and graphic visual identity that hopes to show young readers that reading sustainably can be both stylish and impactful.
